Session 3

Heroes: Fundin, Ragnarr, Greyfox.

YEAR 2946 - Autumn

The Heroes hunt down the deer, but before they can collect their prey, they hear the blast of a Woodman's horn. They hurry on the scene, to find a band of orcs attacking the other woodsmen hunting party. They defeat the orcs, and make their way back to Rhosgobel.

There they consult with Radagast, who believes something more is afoot: he writes a message for king Thranduil of the Woodland Realm, and send the Heroes to deliver the request for help.

After a quite travel up north, the Heroes arrive at the Forest Gate, where they're met by an elven patrol. The Elves were expecting them, and they bring them to a secret Forest Citadel. There they meet with an envoy of the King: after a short exchange of words, the envoy, deeply touched by the Heroes eloquence, reveals to be King Thranduil himself! He decides to accompany the Heroes back to Rhosgobel, together with an Elven war party.

Back in Rhosgobel, the woodsmen plan the defences of the town, but thanks to the Heroes they soon realise that the real target of the Orcs is another one: a scouting mission reveals a vast evil host moving north, to Woodland Hall. The Heroes hurry to organise the woodsmen defenders, and march north.
