Session 8

Heroes: Sparna, Ragnarr, Greyfox, Aerandir.

Year 2948 - Spring

The Heroes hurry to Stonyford, to inform the villagers of the incoming invasion. Women and children travel east to Woodland Hall to seek refuge, while the men travel together with the Heroes to Beorn's House, to plan the defence.

Beorn listens to the Heroes' tale, including their belief that Oderic will help them by tricking the bandits into the Gloomy Fold, where the Beornings will have the upper hand. Beorn decides to put his faith in them, and sends his warrior and the Heroes to the Gloomy Fold.

Their hopes are well-placed, for the bandits army has been led astray by Oderic, and the Beornings get the drop on them. After a bloody fight, the Beornings win the day, and the Heroes get a chance to capture the bandit's leader, Valter, just when a huge black bear breaks the bandits for good.

Back at the Carrock, Oderic is put on trial for his crimes, but thanks to his latest feats, and especially thanks to the effort of the Heroes to support his case, Beorn shows mercy, and Oderic is once again a free man. He thanks the Heroes for their help, and decides to leave the land of the Beorning to find fame and fortune into the West.

Having forged a bond of friendship with Beorn and his people, the Heroes resume their initial voyage, and trave to the High Pass, to seek out the goblin lair where Fundin's axe had been lost.

Once again into the dark tunnels, the Heroes face the goblins, slaughtering them to the last, and recover the ancient axe, Fror's Fury.

Year 2948 - Summer

Sparna spends the summer with Beorn, learning the language of burrowing creatures. Aerandir, Greyfox and Ragnarr travel to the Grey Mountains, to deliver Fundin's axe to his family.
